Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

VIENNA, Austria — 23 December 2025 — Community volunteers linked to “A Drug-Free World” Austria are expanding outreach in Vienna, engaging youth, families news european parliament and educators through street information stands and event-based activities. The Vienna effort is led by Gabriele Toker, a local organiser, the initiative uses “Truth About Drugs” materials to present straightforward information on commonly abused substances, including the ongoing debate around cannabis, often cited as Europe’s most commonly used illicit drug. Organisers say, the Vienna activities aim to reach teenagers early, including at large public gatherings such as the Donauinselfest, while also supporting teachers seeking prevention tools for schools.
